US Focused on 'Objectionable' Iranian Actions: Blinken

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Saturday the United States will remain "laser focused" on what he described as “objectionable” Iranian actions.

Addressing the annual Manama Dialogue regional security conference in Bahrain, he said Iran will closely watch Iran’s “objectionable actions” in the wake of its nuclear deal with major powers, Reuters reported.

He added US engagement in the Middle East, while deeper than ever, was broad and went beyond the military aspect, stressing there was no military solution to Syria's war.

On Yemen, he said, it is incumbent "on all concerned" parties to allow humanitarian aid to reach all who required it.

Yemen's defenseless people have been under massive attacks by a coalition led by the Saudi regime for months.

On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies began to launch deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

More than 5400 people, many of them children and women, have been killed in the Saudi-led aggression against the Arab country so far.

The Saudi-led aerial strikes have targeted 61 hospitals and 13 ambulances.
