Iranian Woman Shooter Sebghatollahi Earns Olympic Berth
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Golnoush Sebghatollahi earned a quota place at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the women’s 10 meters air pistol event.
India’s Heena Sidhu seized the gold medal in the event with a score of 199.4 points.
Tien Chia Chen from Chinese Taipei took silver with 198.1, and bronze medal went to Korea's Gim Yun Mi (177.9).
Sebghatollahi came fourth with a total of 156.6.
Elaheh Ahmadi and Najmeh Khedmati had already earned two places at the women's 10m air rifle event.
A total of 538 shooters from 30 Asian countries vie for 35 Rio Olympic quota places up for grabs in the competition that concludes on February 2 in Delhi, India.
