We Have Nothing to Lose against Iran, India’s Coach Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - India head coach Stephen Constantine said they have nothing to lose against Iran and will try their best against the Asian giant.

Iran will host India in Group D of the 2018 World Cup qualifier at the Azadi Stadium on Thursday.

“We have no chance to advance to the next stage but we will fight until the end. Iran is one of the Asian powerhouses but India has nothing to lose,” Constantine said in the pre-match news conference.

“We are going to stop conceding so many goals against Iran. Indian players have not come here to give up and as I said before we have nothing to lose,” the Englishman added.

“I think the match against Iran is a good opportunity for our young players to test their abilities,” he went on to say.
