2 Dead, 22 Wounded in Chicago Shootings

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Two men were killed and at least 22 other people been wounded in shootings since Friday afternoon across the Chicago city, according to police.

A 30-year-old man was shot to death about 1:41 a.m. Saturday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago police spokesman.

The man was shot in the chest, and he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, Gaines said, the Chivago Tribune reported on Saturday.

A 29-year-old man was shot to death and two other men were wounded during a shooting about 8:10 p.m. Friday at a party in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side, police said.

The three men were at a party outside in the 7600 block of South Maryland Avenue when someone in a passing vehicle drove by and fired shots into the crowd.

20 other people were killed in other shootings across the city.
