WikiLeaks Founder: Next Leak of Hillary Clinton’s Emails Will Be Enough to Indict Her

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said his organization's upcoming leak of more Hillary Clinton's emails should be enough to indict her, though expressing doubts the FBI will do so.

“We have upcoming leaks in relation to Hillary Clinton,” Assange said as cited by Truth Dig website on Thursday.

“We’ve accumulated a lot of material about Hillary Clinton. We could proceed to an indictment,” he added.

Assange said, however, that in his opinion, the FBI would choose not to indict her in hopes of gaining favor with a Clinton administration.

“The FBI could push for concessions from the new Clinton government. There’s very strong material, both in the emails and in relation to the Clinton Foundation.”

As the presidential race heats up, there has been reportedly increased attention on the FBI investigation into Clinton’s emails as Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has begun to use the scandal as an offensive strategy against his Democratic opponent.

Assange has been holed up in the Ecuadorian diplomatic mission in London since June 2012. He secured political asylum from Quito after he lost a legal battle against extradition to Sweden.

Swedish prosecutors issued a European arrest warrant for Assange after allegations of sexual assault related to a 2010 visit he made to Stockholm to give a lecture.

However, the 44-year-old denies the accusations, describing them as a ploy to send him to the US, where he is wanted over the release of thousands of US classified documents about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan on his whistleblower website.
