Iran Defeats Morocco at FIFA Futsal World Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian national team beat Morocco at the FIFA Futsal World Cup campaign on Thursday.
The Asian champion, who suffered a surprisingly hefty 5-1 defeat against Spain on the opening matchday, belatedly found form and defeated African team 5-3.
Iran will look to lock up passage to the Round of 16 on Sunday when it tackle enigmatic debutant Azerbaijan, while Morocco face a massive challenge against two-time world champion Spain.
The 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup is the 8th edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA.
The tournament is being held in Colombia from 10 September to 1 October 2016.
