Takfiri Militants Pollute Syrian Capital’s Water with Diesel

DAMASCUS (Tasnim) – Takfiri groups in Syria have polluted Damascus’s water with diesel in yet another inhumane act against the innocent people of the Arab country.

According to Tasnim dispatches, officials in the Syrian capital have been forced to cut water supplies in Damascus for a few days and use reserves instead after the terrorists polluted the al-Fija spring in the militant-held Wadi Barada valley with diesel.

The desperate move by militants comes as Syrian forces are making huge gains in their military campaign against terrorists across the Arab country.

On Saturday, the Syrian government forces targeted hideouts of the Takfiri Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, formerly known as al-Nusra Front, in Beir al-Sheiyah, al-Ghariye, Tariq al-Sad, and al-Nazihin Camp in the country's southwestern city of Dara'a.

ِDozens of the terrorists lost their lives in the process of the operations.

In the meantime, reports suggest that the army and their allies have started a major offensive to liberate Wadi Barada from the clutches of the militants.

Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011 with various terrorist groups, including Daesh, currently controlling parts of it.

According to a report by the Syrian Center for Policy Research, the conflict has claimed the lives of over 470,000 people, injured 1.9 million others, and displaced nearly half of the country’s pre-war population of about 23 million within or beyond its borders.
