Several Saudi Forces Killed in Yemeni Army Attack on Jizan, Najran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Yemeni army and Popular Committees, in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians by a Saudi-led coalition in the Arabian Peninsula country, killed several Saudi forces in the kingdom’s southwestern provinces of Jizan and Najran.
The Yemeni forces pounded the gatherings of Saudi troops in Hesn Al Hamad site in Najran, Yemeni media reports said on Saturday.
In another artillery attack, the army and popular committees also hit the Saudi-led coalition forces' positions at a military base in the southwestern province of Jizan, according to the reports.
The attacks by the Yemeni forces were carried out in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.
Since March 25, 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
According to Yemen’s Legal Center of Rights and Development, the Saudi campaign has claimed the lives of over 12,000 Yemenis and left more than 20,000 others wounded.
