48 Passengers Injured in Tehran Metro Crash
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that at least 48 people have been injured after two metro trains collided in the Iranian capital.
The ministry said in a statement that 40 of the injured people have been transferred to hospitals for sustaining injures in the collision at Tarasht station.
Over 30 ambulances were dispatched to help victims, the statement added.
Meantime, Head of Public Relations of Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway Operation Company Ehsan Moqaddam said the incident occurred when a train collided with another one that had stopped at a metro station.
