Several Saudi Servicemen Killed in Yemen’s Fresh Attacks: Source

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The forces of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees, in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi-led coalition, managed to kill and injure a number of Saudi servicemen in the kingdom's southwestern province of Jizan, a military source said.

The source said the Yemeni forces on Monday blew up a military vehicle carrying Saudi troops near the Awjaba Base in Jizan, the Arabic-language al-Masirah TV reported.

He added that in the retaliatory attack against the Saudi forces, all of the servicemen aboard the vehicle were killed.

In another development, Yemeni forces managed to prevent the Saudi mercenaries from advancing in Taiz Province.

The attacks by the Yemeni forces were carried out in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.

Since March 25, 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the Arabian Peninsula country’s fugitive former president.

According to Yemen’s Legal Center of Rights and Development, the Saudi campaign has claimed the lives of over 12,000 Yemenis and left more than 20,000 others wounded.
