Several Saudi Mercenaries Killed in Yemeni Army Attacks

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The forces of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees, in retaliatory attacks against Saudi-paid forces, killed several mercenaries in the province of Jawf, north of Yemen.

A number of the Saudi-paid mercenaries were killed and wounded when the army and Popular Committees carried out an offensive operation on Khub-washa’af area in Jawf province, a military official told Saba News Agency on Wednesday.

Saudi-paid mercenaries' military vehicle were destroyed in Mahamisha area and all its crew were killed, the official added.

In the meantime, the artillery command of the Yemen army and Popular Committees shelled overnight a gathering of Saudi army and its mercenaries in border provinces of Najran and Asir, a military official said on Wednesday.

In Najran, Saudi-paid mercenaries' gatherings in Aleeb Mountains and Saudi soldiers' gatherings in Makhrouk were attacked.

Meanwhile, sniper unit of the Yemeni troops shot dead a number of Saudi soldiers at Nahuqa in Najran.

In Asir, Yemeni troops pounded Saudi soldiers' gatherings in Misyal, Zaj and Hanjer.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for almost three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
