4 Saudi Servicemen Killed in Clashes with Yemeni Forces

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The forces of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees, in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi-led coalition, targeted the enemy near border areas, killing four Saudi servicemen, local reports said.

The four Saudi military forces were killed in clashes with the Yemeni troops south of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom’s local media reported on Thursday.

Earlier on the same day, Yemen’s Defense Ministry announced that 55 Saudi servicemen have been killed and 53 others injured in the Yemeni forces’ counterattacks in March.

The attacks against Saudi forces come in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians and destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure by the Saudi-led coalition.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
