Syrian Army Repels Terrorists’ Attack on Military Points in Northern Hama

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Syrian army forces conducted military operation in northern Hama countryside following repeated attempts by terrorists to infiltrate into military positions of the Syrian forces in the region and breach of the demilitarized zone agreement in Idlib.

The Syrian Arab News Agency reported that army forces on Monday targeted members of a terrorist group liked to “Turkistan Party” organization who entered the region from the vicinity of Khirbet al-Naqus village in the far north of al-Ghab plain towards a military post in the area.

The army operation resulted in foiling the attempt, destroying terrorists’ positions and killing and wounding many of the militants.

Abdul Sattar Mohammed al-Qweism, a terrorist leader was injured during the operation.

Army units centered in Mhardeh eastern countryside, targeted the locations of “al-Ezza Battalion” terrorists with light and heavy weapons.

Reports also indicated that army units confronted terrorist groups while trying to infiltrate the village of al-Jesat and Tel al-Sakher in the northwestern suburb of Mhardeh towards military points in the area, killing a number of militants.

On Sunday, the army units positioned in the surroundings of Souran City and tracked the movements of terrorist groups in the surroundings of Mourek town in the northern countryside following their attack on the surroundings of Tal Bzam and Ma’an village with mortar shells and explosive rounds.
