Iran Condemns Egypt Tourist Bus Bombing

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned a Friday terrorist attack in Egypt that left several Vietnamese tourists dead or injured.

In a statement on Saturday, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi described as “hideous and despicable” attacks that target innocent women and men who travel to other countries as tourists.

He also offered sympathies to the Vietnamese government and nation and families of victims of the blind attack in Egypt, according to the Foreign Ministry’s website.

At least three Vietnamese tourists and an Egyptian tour guide were killed on Friday when a roadside bomb struck a tourist bus in Egypt.

The bombing took place in the Giza region near Cairo, where the pyramids are located.

At least 11 people were also wounded in the attack after an improvised explosive device hidden near a wall went off.
