Iran U-21 Volleyball Coach Dedicates Gold Medal to People
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran coach Behrouz Ataei dedicated the title of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U-21 World Championship to the Iranian people.
Iran claimed gold in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U-21 World Championship after an intense tie-break triumph (17-25, 25-17, 25-23, 22-25, 15-12) against Italy on Saturday evening at Bahrain’s Isa Sport City.
“The final was such a difficult match. Italy really tried their best in this championship. Nobody could beat them in the earlier rounds,” Ataei said.
“We knew it was going to (be) very difficult, so we also tried to do all we could for the win. My players really worked hard in this match. They are the best and I have the honor that I can be their coach. I dedicate this win to all the people in my country,” he added.
