In Karaj’s Enghelab Stadium, Esteghlal defeated Azadegan League side Gol Reyhan 3-1 in extra time.
Mohammad Papi scored for Gol Reyhan with a powerful strike in the 38th minute but Hamid Reza Divsalar scored an own goal five minutes later to equalize the match.
Sajjad Aghaei and Farshid Esmaeili scored in the 93rd and 113th minute, respectively to seal a 3-1 win for Esteghlal.
Furthermore, Sepahan defeated Kheibar Khoramabad 3-0, Fajr Sepasi beat Foolad 3-2 on penalty shootout, Esteghlal Mahshahr edged Mes Novin Kerman 2-1, Shahin Bushehr defeated Khooshe Talaei Save 3-1 on penalty shootout, Paykan crashed Shohadaye Razakan Karaj 4-0 and Pars Jonoubi lost to Zob Ahan 2-1.
