Vinko Begovic No Longer Gol Gohar Coach

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Croatian coach Vinko Begovic was sacked by Gol Gohar Sirjan on Friday.

The 71-year-old coach led Gol Gohar to the Iran Professional League for the first time ever but has yet to win a match in the current season.

The team has lost three matches and earned three draws in its last six matches.

Branko Ivankovic, Ali Daei, Majid Jalali and Firooz Karimi are shortlisted to replace Begovic.

Begovic started his career in Foolad in 1999 and has also coached Iranian clubs Persepolis, Pas, Mes Kerman, Pegah Gilan and Aluminium Hormozgan.
