China was defeated against Iran 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-14) in the final showdown of the AVC Men's Continental Tokyo Volleyball Qualification on Sunday.
“Congratulations to team Iran for the qualification to the Tokyo Olympic Games. They taught us an impressive lesson. As a volleyball team which ranked 5th in the world in 2016 Olympics, their offence and defense techniques are well worthy of learning,” Chuan said.
“We had some problems in dealing with the mental pressure. At the beginning, we were somehow overcautious, failing to make our fullest performance. I think we need more intensive tournaments to harden ourselves mentally and physically,” he added.
