Heavy Rain Causes Flooding in Iran’s Lorestan Province (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Heavy rainfall caused flooding in some cities and villages in parts of Iran, including the western province of Lorestan, on Tuesday.
Roads to some 58 villages were cut near the city of Kuhdasht in Lorestan Province due to heavy rain and flooding. Necessary measures are underway to reopen the roadways to the areas.
Authorities warned yesterday about the likelihood of heavy rainfall and flooding in Lorestan and people in certain areas have been warned to evacuate their homes and seek shelter in nearby cities.
