Iran’s Abbasali Happy with Her Recovery
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian karate athlete Hamideh Abbasali says her recovery is way ahead of time and she hopes to resume training as soon as possible.
She underwent surgery on her torn ACL in Germany’s Hannover in early March.
Abbasali was injured in the final bout of -68kg category in Karate 1-Premier League in Salzburg. The injury sparked fears that she might miss the upcoming Olympic Games.
“Hopefully, I’m recovering way ahead of schedule. I will stay in Germany until mid-April and then return to Iran for my physiotherapy,” Abbasali said.
“My recovery is going better than expected. I hope for better days and want to fight for my country as soon as possible,” she added.
