“With 120 new deaths in the past 24 hours, the death toll from the virus has reached 9,392. Unfortunately, we had 2,615 new cases since yesterday,” Lari said on state TV.
She also put the number of those who have so far recovered from the viral infection at 159,192.
The coronavirus outbreak has infected over 8.6 million people around the world. The global death toll from the pandemic is now more than 456,000.
