One Killed, 2 Injured in Second Shooting in 24 Hours in Atlanta (+Video)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A deadly shooting at a burned Wendy’s in Atlanta, US state of Georgia, left one dead and two others injured on Sunday.

This is the second deadly shooting taking place in 24 hours near the burned Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks was fatally shot by a police officer on June 12.

Last night, an 8-year-old was killed after an armed group of men shot into the car she was riding in as the driver tried to turn around, WSBTV reported.

On Sunday night around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to 1192 Pryor Street, next door to the Wendy’s, and found two people who appeared to have been shot.

A third victim arrived at Grady hospital a short time later.

Police said a 53-year-old man was dead at the scene. A second victim appeared to have been grazed by a bullet and was stable. The third victim was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. That person’s condition is unclear.

Just an hour before this shooting occurred, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms appeared with the family of Secoriea Turner, the child killed last night, and said demonstrators at the Wendy’s would be cleared out.

Armed demonstrators have been occupying the Wendy’s since Brooks’ death.
