Muslim Unity to Rein In Israel: Iran’s President

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Highlighting Iran’s formidable deterrent power and self-sufficiency in the military industries, President Masoud Pezeshkian said unity among the Muslim countries will ensure regional peace and enable them to punish the Zionist regime for its heinous crimes.

In an address to military parades held in Tehran on Saturday to mark the Sacred Defense Week, President Pezeshkian said Iran’s deterrent power has prevented the enemies from violating the country’s territory.

He paid tribute to the Iranian Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the voluntary forces for their devotion during eight years of war imposed by Iraq in the 1980s, saying the world powers failed to obstruct the progress of the Islamic Revolution.

“Today, Iran’s defense power and deterrent capability have reached a point that no enemy would even dare to imagine aggression against our soil,” the president said.

Highlighting Iran’s power to defend itself, Pezeshkian said unity and solidarity among the Islamic countries will ensure regional peace and security.

Such unity would also enable the Muslims to punish the usurper, bloodthirsty and criminal Israeli regime which shows no mercy to children, women and men, the Iranian president added.

“If we maintain unity and join hands, Israeli won’t be able to continue its atrocities,” he added.

His comments came against a backdrop of relentless Israeli crimes against Gaza and southern Lebanon.

At least 41,272 Palestinian people have been killed and 95,551 injured in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 2023.
