Authentication Error Blamed for Global Outage in Key Online Services
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An authentication error is blamed for a global outage in key online services such as YouTube and Gmail that lasted for just over an hour across the globe on Monday morning.
They included submissions by more than 12,000 YouTube users.
Google said at that time it was "aware of the problem" - adding that a "majority" of customers were unable to access services, also including Google Docs.
It announced shortly afterwards that an "authentication" issue had been resolved and normal services were resuming.
