Iranian Drones Launch Top Attack Missile in Drill

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The combat drones of the Iranian Army Ground Force battered land targets with a homegrown top attack missile in an ongoing exercise involving a broad range of pilotless aircraft.

The Army said on Wednesday that the Ababil-3 drones flown by the Ground Force have hit land targets with Almas (diamond) air-to-surface missiles with pinpoint accuracy during the large-scale war game that began on Tuesday.

The spokesperson for the ongoing military exercise said the Army units have also employed a series of new weapons in the drill which will be made public later considering the classified and confidential technologies employed.

Various unmanned aircraft are taking part in the drill in Iran’s northern province of Semnan for different operations including aerial interception, launch of air-to-air missiles, detonation of ground targets with bombs and missiles with pinpoint accuracy, and suicide strikes.
