Farhad Majidi Shortlisted for Zob Ahan Job: Report

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Former Esteghlal coach Farhad Majidi has been shortlisted to take charge of Zob Ahan football team.

The Isfahan-based football club parted company with Rahman Rezaei on Saturday following the team’s poor results in the Iran Professional League.

Local media have reported that Majidi has traveled to Isfahan to negotiate with Zob Ahan’s officials.

Majidi parted ways with Esteghlal at the end of last season.

Under coaching of Rezaei, Zob Ahan lost five of its 14 matches in IPL and dropped to 14th place, two points above the relegation zone.

Saket Elhami and Alireza Mansourian are also candidates to take charge of Zob Ahan.
