Spain Basketball Eases Past Iran: Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Spain’s basketball national team overpowered Iran 96-53 in its second warm-up match Monday night.
The match was held at the WiZink Center in Madrid, capital of Spain.
Sergio Scariolo’s team had started its preparations for the Tokyo Olympics with an 88-61 win over Team Melli in Valencia on Saturday.
Iran is preparing for the 2020 Olympic Games, where the Persians have been drawn in Group A along with USA, France and Czech Republic.
Spain is in Group C along with Japan, Argentina and Slovenia.
