Iran Reiterates Support for Intra-Afghan Talks
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian expressed the Islamic Republic’s support for intra-Afghan negotiations and agreements.
During an online meeting with foreign ministers of countries neighboring to Afghanistan, the Iranian top diplomat stressed the importance of security and stability in the region and a development through the construction of an inclusive government that reflects Afghan people's variety and will.
"Virtually met FMs of 6 neighbors of Afghanistan. Emphasized on security, stability & development by formation of an inclusive gov reflecting diversity & will of Afghan ppl; dialogue instead of violence; rejection of foreign intervention. We support intra-Afghan talks & agreements," the foreign minister wrote in a post on his Twitter account.
Amirabdollahian said that the six foreign ministers have also emphasized the importance of dialogue over violence and the rejection of foreign intervention in Afghanistan.
