Iran Victorious over India at Asian Women's Junior Handball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated India 42-37 in the 2022 Asian Women’s Junior Handball Championship on Thursday.
Iran was defeated against Kazakhstan 30-24 on Tuesday.
The Iranian team will meet Thailand on Saturday.
The 2022 Asian Women's Junior Handball Championship has brought five teams, namely Kazakhstan, Iran, India, Uzbekistan and Thailand together in Almaty, Kazakhstan from March 7 to 14.
The competition is the 16th edition of the championship under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation.
It also acts as the qualification tournament for the 2022 Women's Junior World Handball Championship, with top two teams from the championship directly qualifying for the event to be held in Slovenia.
