Sepahan Moves Top of IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan football team defeated Gol Gohar 4-1 to move top of the Iran Professional League (IPL) table.
Shahriyar Moghanlou opened the scoring for Sepahan just eight minutes into the match. Farshad Ahmadzadeh made the scoreboard 2-0 just before the interval.
Sepahan midfielder Omid Noorafkan was shown his second yellow card in the 48th minute but Moghanlou scored his team’s third goal in the 65th minute. Ramin Rezaeian made the scoreboard 4-0 in the 76th minute.
Gol Gohar forward Kiros Stanley pulled a goal back in the 81st minute.
Sepahan moved top of the IPL with 36 points, thanks to a better goal difference than Persepolis.
