FM Hails Iran-Guinea Growing Ties

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian described the relations with Guinea as friendly, historical and growing.

In a meeting with the African country’s Minister of Culture, Tourism and Handicraft Alpha Soumah, held in Tehran on Wednesday, Amirabdollahian underlined the importance of exchanging delegations between the two countries.

He also stressed the role of the Iran-Guinea Joint Cooperation Commission in the development of economic cooperation between the two sides, hoping that holding a meeting of the commission will be put on the agenda.

Soumah, for his part, described his visit to Tehran as a step toward the expansion of bilateral relations in different fields.

He called for the promotion of cooperation between Iran and Guinea and expressed hope that his country would benefit from Iranian sides’ expertise and experiences for its development.

He expressed hope that a meeting of the Joint Cooperation Commission will be held in the near future.

Amirabdollahian and Sumah also exchanged views about bilateral ties in the political, cultural, scientific and economic areas.
