Iran Falls Short against Hong Kong at 2023 IIHF World Championship Division III
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to Hong Kong 11-1 in the 2023 IIHF World Championship Division III underway in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina Tuesday night.
Iran had defeated Malaysia 14-4 Monday night in its opening match.
Team Melli is drawn in Group B along with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hong Kong, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia and Singapore.
Iran will play Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday.
Group A consists of Turkmenistan, Chinese Taipei, South Africa, Luxembourg and Thailand.
The Group A tournament will be held in Cape Town, South Africa from َApril 17 to 23.
The 2023 IIHF World Championship Division III is an international ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation.
