Iran Crowned Champion of Bishkek Ranking Series 2023
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Greco-Roman wrestling team won the title of the Bishkek Ranking Series 2023.
On Day Three of the competition, Iran won two more gold medals.
Mohammad Ali Geraei defeated Iuri Lomadze of Georgia 8-3 in 77kg and Alireza Mohmadi beat Alperen Berber from Turkey 7-5 in 82kg.
Mohammad Reza Geraei also seized a silver after losing to Georgian Ramaz Zoidze 11-1 in 72kg.
Iran had previously won three gold and two bronze medals.
Danial Sohrabi in 67kg. Mohammad Hadi Saravi in 97kg and Amin Mirzazadeh in 130kg had claimed three golds and Mehdi Mohsennejad in 60kg and Iman Mohammadi in 63kg also won two bronze medals.
Iran won the title with 175 points, followed by Uzbekistan (148) and Georgia (139).
