Pakdaman Grabs Gold at 2023 Asian Fencing Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian athlete Ali Pakdaman won a gold medal in the senior men’s sabre of the 2023 Asian Fencing Championships underway in Wuxi, China on Saturday.
Pakdaman defeated South Korean Junho Kim 15-10 in the final.
He beat Cyrus Chang Chi Hin from Hong Kong 15-6, Kuwait’s Mohammed Al Fadhli 15-11, Japanese fencer Kento Yoshida 15-13 and Ho Tin Low of Hong Kong 15-11 en route to the final.
Pakdaman’s countryman Mohammad Rahbari won a bronze medal in the discipline.
