Iranian Men’s, Women’s Fencing Teams Take Medals: ISG 2021
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian men’s and women’s fencing teams claimed a gold and a silver medal respectively at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games on Wednesday.
In the women's epee final, Turkey defeated Iran 45-39.
Uzbekistan won the bronze medal.
Iran won the gold medal in the men's sabre event after defeating Turkey 45-28 in the final.

The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games are being held in Konya, Turkey, from August 9 to 18, 2022. It is a multinational, multi-sport event that is played between the athletes from the nations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
