Iranians Claim 3 Bronzes at 2023 AKF Senior Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian athletes won three bronze medals at the 2023 AKF Senior Championships in Malaysia on Friday.
Amir Mehdizadeh won the bronze at the Senior Kumite Male -67 kg.
Fatemeh Sadeghi at the Senior Kata Female and Abolfazl Shahrjerdi at the Senior Kata Male also won two more bronze medals.
Atousa Golshadnezhad at the Senior Kumite Female -61kg and Behnam Deghanzade had already claimed two gold medals at the Senior Kumite Male -55kg.
The last edition of the continental championships, held last year in Uzbekistan's Tashkent, had gathered all Senior, Cadet, Junior, and U-21 categories.
The event comprises 17 categories in the senior competition and seven categories in the Para-Karate event.
Nearly 400 athletes from 31 countries have registered to participate in the event.
