Iran Beach Soccer to Meet Russia at 2nd CIS Games SF
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s beach soccer team was defeated against Belarus 6-1 in Group B of the II Games of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on Monday.
Team Melli had earlier defeated Azerbaijan and the UAE in the group.
Iran will play Russia on Tuesday in the Games’ semifinals.
The 2nd CIS Games are being held in Belarus from August 4 to 14.
The CIS Games are a regular complex event in the field of physical culture and sports, covering national sports, the most popular within the CIS member states, Olympic and non-Olympic sports.
