Iran to Meet Chinese Taipei for 2023 Asian Women’s Volleyball C'ship 9th Place
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran swept past Mongolia 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-20) in the 2023 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship on Tuesday.
Iran will play Chinese Taipei for 9th place on Wednesday.
Team Melli Banovan lost to Japan 3-0 and India 3-1 in Pool B and defeated the Philippines 3-2 and Hong Kong 3-2 in Pool H.
Running from August 30 to September 6, the championship features 14 teams divided into four groups. Each team faces every other team in their group once, with the top two teams from each preliminary round group advancing to the top eight classification round, forming two new groups of four.
The competition is being held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
