Cyclist Partoazar Wins Iran’s First Medal in History of Asian Games

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Faranak Partoazar won a bronze medal at the Women's Cross Country of the 2022 Asian Games on Monday.

She finished in third place at the Cycling Mountain Bike, clocking 1:42:44 hours in Hangzhou.

Chinese cyclists Li Hongfeng (1:30:59) and Ma Caixia (1:36:45) won the gold and silver medals, respectively.

A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.

Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
