4 Airports Evacuated in France Due to Security Threats

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Six French airports faced security alerts on Wednesday and several were evacuated for checks, the DGAC aviation authority said on Wednesday.

According to a statement made by the airport on Wednesday on the social networking site X, the Lille airport in northern France is being evacuated owing to a bomb scare.

“State security teams are on site,” the airport said, Firstpost reported.

The Toulouse, Nice, and Lyon airports were all evacuated on Wednesday owing to security alerts, according to BFM TV, which cited police sources.

After a teacher was killed on October 13 in what is believed to be an extremist attack, France is now at the highest state of alert.

Due to its second security scare in four days on Tuesday, the Palace of Versailles, one of the most popular tourist destinations in France, was shuttered for a few hours.
