Israel to Get Comeuppance, President Warns after IRGC Adviser’s Martyrdom

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The president of Iran warned the Zionist regime that it will have to pay the price for the assassination of a senior Islamic Revolution Guards Corps adviser in Syria.

In a message on Monday night, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi offered his condolences on the martyrdom of General Seyed Razi Mousavi, an IRGC adviser who was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike in the residential neighborhood of Zeinabiyah district in the suburbs of Damascus.

“I offer my condolences over the martyrdom of Brigadier General Seyed Razi Mousavi in the missile attack of the criminal Zionist regime on Damascus to his respected family, the people of Iran and his comrades in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps,” the president said, his official website reported.

“This brave general and comrade-in-arms of martyr General Haj Qassem Soleimani, in the guise of adviser of the axis of Islamic resistance, was martyred in the protection of the shrine of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in Syria and in the way of guarding the lofty ideals of Islam, and left a lasting name for himself,” he added.

“Undoubtedly, this heinous act is another sign of frustration and helplessness of the usurping Zionist regime in the region, and it will definitely pay for this crime,” Raisi stated.
