Iran Raps Political Hypocrisy of US, UK, France
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The foreign minister of Iran slammed the opposition from the US, the UK and France to a UN Security Council statement in condemnation of the Israeli regime’s recent strike on the Iranian diplomatic mission in Damascus as proof of their political hypocrisy.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and Mohammed Abdulsalam, the chief negotiator of Yemen’s National Salvation Government, held a meeting in Muscat on Sunday.
Pointing to Israel’s fatal attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus on April 1, Amirabdollahian said, “There is no doubt that the Islamic Republic of Iran, apart from the legal and international measures taken, will use its rights recognized by the international law to punish the criminal aggressors and hold them accountable.”
He also denounced the opposition from the US, the UK and France to a statement of the UN Security Council in condemnation of the Israeli attack on Iran’s diplomatic mission, saying such a stance clearly demonstrates the three Western countries’ “political hypocrisy”, brazen support for the Zionist regime’s crimes and adventurism, and encouragement of expansion of regional instability and insecurity.
The Israeli regime’s warplanes launched a missile attack on the consular section of Iran’s embassy in Damascus on April 1, killing seven IRGC military advisers.
In a message on April 2, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the Islamic Republic will make the Zionist regime regret this crime.
