TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The next round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the US is planned to be held in the capital of Oman on June 15, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced.

Asked by reporters about the sixth round of talks between Tehran and Washington, Esmaeil Baqaei said on Monday night, “Considering the consultations that have been held, the next round of Iran-US indirect negotiations is being arranged for the next Sunday in Muscat.”

The spokesman also noted that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is going to visit Norway on June 11 and 12 to attend the 22nd edition of the Oslo Forum.

Iran and the US have held five rounds of talks since April 12, mediated by Oman, with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Tehran.
