Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla met on Monday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the talks, they highlighted the friendly relations between Iran and Cuba, emphasizing their determination to expand bilateral cooperation in all fields of mutual interest, including economic, trade, scientific, technological, and health sectors.
Reviewing global and regional developments, particularly in West Asia and the Caribbean, the two foreign ministers warned against the growing trend of unilateral actions undermining international norms. They stressed the collective responsibility of the international community to safeguard the principles of the UN Charter, halt the massacre of Palestinians, and end the Zionist regime’s long-standing impunity for its crimes.
The ministers also discussed strengthening coordination and cooperation between Tehran and Havana within international and multilateral organizations.
