Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said three police officers were killed when the militants fired on security forces during the operation.
Meanwhile, he said eight police officers and one security guard were wounded in the clash.
Yerlikaya said the operation targeted Daesh militants in Yalova and was carried out by Turkish security forces as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
