Iran, Bolivia Sign Space Cooperation Agreement

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran and Bolivia entered into an agreement on peaceful cooperation in space technology and sciences.

The agreements was signed at a ceremony in Bolivia on Friday, attended by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Bolivian counterpart David Choquehuanca.

Heading a big delegation of Iranian business people and economic officials, Zarif travelled to the South America country as part of a six-nation tour of Latin America.

On Friday evening, the top Iranian diplomat also held a meeting with Bolivian President Evo Morales in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia's commercial center.

Following the talks, Bolivia’s highest state medal was awarded to Zarif.

Zarif and his entourage are scheduled to visit Venezuela as the final destination in a tour that took them earlier to Cuba, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Chile.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has said the tour of Latin America signifies Tehran’s plans to boost non-oil exports.
