Iran’s Steel Output Up 5.8% in 11 Months: ISPA

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) said the country’s steel production volume registered a 5.8 percent growth in the 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2023).

According to the report, steel ingot showed the largest production rise with a 9.2% growth in this period.

In this period, more than 31 million tons of sponge iron were produced, it said, IRNA reported. 

Earlier, ISPA said the total steel products manufactured by Iran’s major steel production companies in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year registered an eight percent hike compared to the same period last year.
