Iran Unveils Two New Nano-Medicines

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran unveiled two new nano-medicines, one against the multiplication of cancerous cells and the other one for curing skin burbles.

The medicines were unveiled during the opening ceremony of the 6th Nanotechnology Festival, attended by the Presidential Office Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian and Vice President in Scientific Affairs Nasrin Soltankhah.

The two new Iranian nano-medicines are called Sina-Ampholish and Sina-Corcomin.

The Secretariat of the Sixth International Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition in Iran started its activities on Wednesday, 29 May 2013, and continued its work until 22 July 2013.

This year’s festival is held from October 5 to 9, 2013, in Tehran International Permanent Fairgrounds.

Many Iranian and foreign companies, organizations, and institutes are participating in IranNano 2013 which is held after International Forum on Nanotechnology Economy 2013 in Tehran.

The Nanotechnology International Festival is held annually by Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, and it is the largest and most credible domestic exhibition in the field of nanotechnology, and is considered as the second nanotechnology festival in Asia.
