Tehran to Host OCA Executive Board Meeting
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The 66th Executive Board meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) will be held in Tehran, Iran.
The two-day meeting will take place in Tehran’s Azadi Hotel with 80 foreign guests in attendance.
Olympic Council of Asia President Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah will attend the meeting which starts on Thursday and also meet with Mahmoud Goudarzi, the Iranian Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, on the same day.
Heads and Secretary Generals of a number of other NOCs will also arrive in Tehran on Wednesday.
A total of 64 guests attend the OCA Executive Board meeting each year, 36 of whom are the main members of the Executive Board.
On the sidelines of the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, Korea, last September, the President of Iran NOC, Kioomars Hashemi, met with the OCA President to exchange views and ideas.
Indonesian capital Jakarta has been officially named as the host of the next Asian Games, taking place in 2018.
