Esteghlal Midfielder Cheshmi Out for Season
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal of Tehran defensive midfielder Rouzbeh Cheshmi has been ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining a serious knee injury.
In the match against Padideh in Iran Professional League (IPL), Cheshmi was forced to leave the field after suffering the injury.
The result of scans appeared he has damaged his anterior cruciate ligament, which will mean he is sidelined for the rest of the season.
It’s not right time for IPL leader Esteghlal since the team is title favorite in the current season.
